It's a very sad day for us. We have had to say good-bye to our Lovely Cheadle's Lady Fiona CGN. Born: Nov 16th, 2003-Oct 1st, 2012.
Fiona was a great rep for the mastiff breed. She loved every one and all dogs that came before her. She was a true gentle giant at the shows getting down and rolling onto her back for pets from the people of all ages. I know when she would go to the shows even the pro handlers loved Fiona and were always telling us how great she was. She would be so happy to strut her stuff in the rings. That she would watch the mastiffs before her in the ring as if she was watching her competition and then go in for a win. If I had every been feeling sad or up set. It seamed Fiona always knew and would come and lay by my feet or curl up with me on the bed. We have had a long road together and was hoping for it to be a little longer but god wanted her back. I was there when she came into this world and took her first breath and now for her last breath. There are not enough words to say what Fiona means to me and only she knows how hard we worked together to get Fiona's championship, CGN (that was a breeze for her) and being a Canadian Top Dog. The number of smiles she put on people faces as they watch their child show Fiona in junior handling companion. Which so loved to do as well. My heart is breaking in two and I know some day it will some what heal. When we opened the back of the truck Fiona crawled towards me to say her good-byes with two little kisses and a look in her eye of good-bye Mom I will be good & I love you. I promise I will see you again. Sweet dreams baby girl Love Mom xoxo |
We have just retired this lovely lady.
Fiona will still show up every now and then in the Junior Handling rings just to play.
May 2, 2008 - Awarded: Ch. Cheadle's Lady Fiona received a Top Show Dog Award; She is the #4 Mastiff
& #2 Female in Breed for Canada in 2007.

This is our pride and joy Fiona. She is a deep apricot girl from Dick
& Lizzy's (Ch. Cheadle's What the Dickens X Monolithic Elizabeth Cheadle)
first litter, born Nov 16/03.
Fiona is a tall girl, standing an honest 33" at the shoulder and weighs in
at a lean 179lbs. She has a nice front with good shoulder lay back, and
loads of rear angulation, resulting in her flawless movement.
Fiona is a very sweet natured girl who gets along equally
as well with kids, adults, cats and other dogs. She handles new
situation with ease, and loves to meet new people to show off
her wonderful temperament.
This amazing personality started us on our journey into the
dog show world where on October 21/05, Fiona became a CKC Champion! Fiona
also obtained her CGN (Canine Good Neighbour) on March 11/06.
Fiona is happiest when she is with her family, whether it's going for a
walk, camping, riding in the van to get TimBits, or strutting her stuff in
the show ring, her kind, gentle soul is always shining through.
That is what we love the most about her.
Fiona is OFA good, OFEL normal, Heart normal, Eyes CERF normal, Thyroid
normal, PRA DNA clear and clear of VwD.
Fiona has also been shown in the Junior Showmanship ring with our daughter
